🦵 Pre-Cut Socks (Sleeves)
Pre-cut socks are essentially the top, footless portion of a standard long soccer sock. In professional soccer, many players cut the foot off their team's long socks so they can wear their own high-performance grip socks underneath.
Pre-cut sleeves are manufactured this way to save the player from having to cut their socks every game.
Key Features & Purpose:
Footless Design: They are calf sleeves that begin above the ankle and go up to the knee. This lets players wear their preferred grip sock for traction and comfort (which typically ends at the ankle).
Shin Guard Security: They are designed with a tight, compression fit to hold the shin guard securely against the shin without the need for excessive tape or straps.
Compliance: They ensure the player can display the mandated team/kit color over their shin guard to comply with league and referee rules, even while wearing a different colored sock (the grip sock) underneath.
Convenience: They eliminate the time and hassle of cutting traditional socks and re-taping them before every game.
